The Women’s Giving Circle of PebbleCreek (TWGC) are happy that many of our friends are returning from colder climates to our wonderful community. Our members have been busy participating in and planning events to support those in need in the West Valley.
November was the kick-off of our new season. The Women’s Giving Circle proudly joined thousands of participants at this year’s American Heart Association Heart Walk, demonstrating our community’s commitment to improving heart health and supporting lifesaving research. The event brought together friends, neighbors, and families for a morning of movement, inspiration, and hope—and PebbleCreek was well-represented.
This year, our team raised an impressive $6,366, exceeding our goal of $4,000! This achievement reflects the generosity, enthusiasm, and community spirit of our members and supporters. Every dollar contributes to heart disease prevention, public education, and critical scientific advances.
As cooler weather has settled into the West Valley, we are working with the Agua Fria High School District to provide ‘hoodies’ for The Owl Closet, located on the Agua Fria High School campus. The Owl Closet allows students to shop for necessities at no cost, fostering dignity and independence for those facing economic challenges. In November, our ‘hoodie’ drive allowed us to donate new hoodies to The Owl Closet as well as to the Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank.
We are busy planning our annual events; Go With The Flow (GWTF) Annual Packing Party, which provides period products to area schools and shelters, and Date with a Plate (DWP), which raises funds to support the ongoing needs of Agua Fria Food and Clothing Bank.
The GWTF 6th annual packing party is scheduled for Jan. 22. We continue to ask for support from our PebbleCreek community. Product donations can be made by contacting Karen Fiorenza at: kmfior@aol.com.
DWP is scheduled for March 27. Tickets will go on sale Feb. 9.
