On Nov. 9, the PebbleCreek Quilters hosted an event to honor veterans from our community. The event began with Becky Trimble, herself a veteran, singing “I’m Proud to be an American.” This year, 20 veterans were honored, and each was presented with a quilt made by one of the quilt group members. During the presentation, a bio about each vet was shared. These men and women represented all branches of the military, serving in a variety of assignments all over the world. From supply officers to mechanics and cooks to fighter pilots, each one proudly served his country at a time when they were needed. Their stories were moving, inspiring and sometimes humorous. It is an honor and a privilege to be able to celebrate these amazing men and women of our community. If you have a veteran you would like to see honored in 2026, please contact us to get a nomination form at: info@pebblecreekquilters.org.
