The PebbleCreek Democratic Club is in full swing with an active calendar of meetings, community involvement, and activities going forward into 2026.
The Veterans Service Committee of the club has been particularly active this fall, seeking opportunities to serve in the West Valley and beyond. After the success of their school supplies drive, a brand new effort, in support of students at Lattie Coor Elementary in Avondale, was announced at the November meeting. In cooperation with the school, which serves pre-kindergarten through 1st grade students, the club veterans have inspired the Democratic Club as a whole to provide personalized gifts for the 226 Lattie Coor students. The effort will culminate in early December with the veterans group personally visiting the school and helping with the distribution of gifts.
Club veterans are also active at the state and national level, lobbying both in Phoenix and Washington, D.C., on issues as broad as individual benefits, domestic troop deployment and instilling a culture of respect for those who serve.
In addition, many club members participated in the local No Kings March, which was held nationwide on Oct. 18. The Goodyear event, held at Goodyear Square, attracted 3,000 people and was highlighted on the Rachel Maddow show on MSNBC. Our local event, complete with signs, costumes, and new friends was one of 60 held throughout the state of Arizona.
Upcoming events include a pool party, monthly game nights, book club meetings, and many opportunities to enjoy breakfast or lunch with other members. Additional information about the club, including contact information for joining or learning more about member activities, is available on the club website: pcdemclub.org.
The club will meet on Dec. 3 in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. At the December meeting we will be hosting Arizona State Democratic Party Chairperson, Charlene Fernandez, as well as candidates for the AZ House and Senate, and the Congressional District. The meeting begins at 6:45 p.m. and will be preceded by a social time at 6 p.m. PebbleCreek Democratic Club meetings are open to the entire PebbleCreek community. Everyone is welcome.
