October was busy for the bocce courts. We celebrated Halloween, with many arriving to the courts dressed in great costumes. We also finished our short eight-week Fall season. Here are the top three finishing teams in each league.
Tuesday Evening: 1. Bocce Buds, 2. Bourbonators, 3. PC Rollers
Wednesday Morning: 1. Smoothies, 2. Great Expectations, 3. Bada Bing
Wednesday Evening: 1. Doozy Batz, 2. Sunset Slingers, 3. Boccelisms
Thursday Evening: 1. 5200 BC, 2. Bocce Boomers, 3. Roly Polies
Friday Morning: 1. Rolling Thunder, 2. Rogue Rollers, 3. Bottom Feeders
Typically, instead of winning team prize money, each winning team gets to choose where their donation is given … this season, with the government shutdown, it was voted on by all team captains to donate all prize money to the local food banks, as they are in such need of food/money.
Winter season started immediately after Fall season. It will last 18 weeks, ending the week of March 10, 2026. Come down any day/night and watch the teams play—maybe you’ll want to join in too for the next season.
We celebrated our veterans, both bocce club players as well as all in the community, who served in our military. We had two celebrations, one on Nov. 11 in the evening, and one on the morning of Nov. 12. Thank you to our veterans!
