Ken Copps, Joe Armbruster Win Scotch Doubles Tourney

PebbleCreek Billiard Club members have completed the second early summer season of their Scotch Doubles League. Scotch Doubles is 8-Ball with players alternating pool shots during their time at the table.

Points are awarded on the number of game wins players accumulate during the 8-week, race­to-6 win tournament format.

This season, Ken Copps and Joe Armbruster shared Championship honors with totals of 87 points each. They dominated play by winning five consecutive weekly matches of the 8-week tournament.

For their impressive victory, Ken and Joe each earned a discount gift card redeemable at popular BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse on McDowell Road in Goodyear.

Runner-up honors went to Mike Finnegan (77 points) and third place to Gary Weaver (74 points).

Other Scotch Doubles competitors include Blair Dreyfus, Rene Lefebvre, Jim Padgitt, Tony Monzo, Harold Erker, and Clay Beeson.
