Erv Stein
Our PCM9GA, formed in 2005, elected a new slate of Board members at our recent June 13 board meeting. Introducing our new slate of board members as follows:
John Craven, President—John grew up in Maryland and received his Criminal Justice Degree from the University of Maryland. John’s career included 33 years as a civilian employee with Dept. of Defense/Ft. Mead. John moved to Pebble Creek in 2016. He previously served as the PCM9GA Vice President and also as past president of the Pebble Creek Putters Club. John enjoys Baltimore and Washington pro sports teams and golfs on a regular basis.
Peter Herman, Vice President—Peter is from Highland Park, Ill., and received his college degree from University of Illinois, where he substantially contributed in varied extracurricular activities. Peter founded the North Shore Baseball League, serving as president for 25 years, and grew the organization to over 200 teams. Peter is the founder of Collegian College Planning, a college consulting company. Peter moved to PebbleCreek four years ago and previously served as PCM9GA Secretary.
Ray Clements, Director of Golf Operations—Ray hails from Rockford, Ill., and received B.S. degrees in Mechanical Engineering and Accounting. Ray has had an extraordinarily successful sales management career, culminating as Executive VP of Sales and Marketing and received a Lifetime Sales Achievement Award for 10 straight performances over quota. Ray became a PebbleCreek resident in 2007 and has since served in multiple previous terms as PCM9GA President. Ray’s highly effective and charismatic leadership have likewise resulted in most invaluable inputs to PebbleCreek Golf Operations.
Erv Stein, Publicity Chairperson—Erv grew up in Providence, R.I., moved to California as a young adult, and received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from San Jose State University. Erv was a co-founder of a notable telecommunications firm where he worked for 35 years as Vice President of Sales. Erv moved to PebbleCreek in 2004, served as the PCM9GA Secretary for two years, then served as Publicity Chairman for a number of years and was reelected to this position as of June 2024. Erv enjoys red wine, playing cards, and is an avid Boston Red Sox follower.
Sy Rosenthal, Secretary—Sy grew up in Detroit, moved to Los Angeles in 1973, and received his Law Degree from Southwestern Law School. Sy specialized in civil litigation and work comp defense for over 40 years prior to moving to PebbleCreek in 2009. Sy has been elected as our new PCM9GA secretary and is extremely active with the PebbleCreek Election Committee, responsible for recruiting homeowners and preparing them to run for the HOA Board. Sy enjoys reading about history, especially World War history.
Kerry Walsh, Webmaster—Kerry grew up in the Seattle area, received his college education there, and was employed by Boeing for many years with varying responsible positions in Boeing IT Operations. Kerry moved to PebbleCreek in 2019 and as webmaster has been extremely effective in enhancing our PCM9GA website. Kerry is an avid golfer, loves to travel, and is an overall sports fan.
Ron Froemming, Treasurer—Ron hails from Milwaukee, Wis., graduated from the University of Wisconsin, and subsequently migrated to the Tampa area where he was a CPA and was involved with residential real estate development. Ron moved to PebbleCreek in the midst of the pandemic in 2020 and has been a PCM9GA member since 2021. He has served as Treasurer since January 2024.
