Kayrene Braden
After a year of planning, fundraising, shopping, sewing, packing, and preparing, the ladies of T.T.T. Chapter P are sending their selected 4th grade girls from Michael Anderson Elementary School in Avondale on their long-awaited camp experience. The mission of T.T.T. is to give 4th grade girls (a pivotal time in a girls adolescence) to experience all that going to camp entails. There will be character building, leadership skills, social interaction with other girls from other parts of the Valley, and just plain fun. A whole new world opens up for these girls during their week at camp.
The camping experience and all that is necessary to go is provided by Chapter P of T.T.T. With the money raised from Poinsettia sales and Butter Braids, the girls are totally outfitted head to toe. Included is a new suitcase, sleeping bag, sleep mat, toiletries, and fun goodies, purchased and made by the women of Chapter P. The girls show up and everything is packed, labeled, and ready to go for them. No hassle for Mom and Dad. One of the best parts of this mission is to see the excited, happy faces of the girls, eager for what lies ahead. One of the fun things at this camp year will be a climbing wall, to challenge and feel a sense of accomplishment at the top!
Thank you to all who support our mission with our fundraising efforts. If you are interested in being involved with T.T.T., there are two Chapters here in PebbleCreek. You may contact Nancy Muramoto at mamamoto40@hotmail.com to learn more about T.T.T.
