On May 23, the PebbleCreek Billiards Club (PCBC) and CantaMia (CM) clashed in a spirited billiards competition, with matches hosted simultaneously at both communities.

At PebbleCreek, two matches unfolded. The first featured four players from each club in one-on-one 8-ball games, with each player facing every opponent twice for a total of 32 games. CantaMia took the win, 19-13, with PCBC’s Rene Lefebvre shining, securing five victories in his eight games. The second match, a ranked head-to-head 8-ball format based on first-match wins, saw the first team to win 10 games claim victory. CantaMia prevailed 10-8, despite a strong performance from PCBC’s Dan Harris, who won three of his five games. Also representing PCBC were Bob Macy and Clay Beeson.

Down south at CantaMia, three matches took place. The first two involved three players per club in one-on-one 8-ball games, each facing every opponent twice for a 36-game series. CantaMia dominated, winning 22-14, and Bill Frustaglia provided PCBC’s best effort, claiming six of his 12 games. The third match, a ranked head-to-head race to eight games, saw PCBC rally to an 8-6 victory, led by Lynn Warren’s flawless performance, winning all five of his games. Joe Armbruster rounded out the threesome from Pebble Creek.

Both clubs enjoyed the friendly rivalry and are eager for the next showdown. Stay tuned for more billiards action!
