Off into the Sunset

For the second year in a row, Bob and Susan Franzone have been patiently watching a mother duck lay eggs right next to their pool. They’ve been eagerly waiting for the day the little ducklings hatch. Knowing that the incubation period was around 21 to 30 days, they were hoping for a Mother’s Day hatch. But, she fell a day short, on May 10. Just like last year, they were worried that the ducklings might get caught in the pool skimmer. So, Bob and Susan reached out for help. They were able to relocate the ducklings to a more natural habitat with the help of Jim Ellison and Mary Harris, who came over and gently gathered the ducklings up and headed to the lake. The mother duck followed closely behind, waddling across the fairway. The family jumped into the lake and swam off into the beautiful sunset. Nature is incredible; we should enjoy it whenever possible.
