Our first social of 2025, the Black and White Event, was a big success. The variety of black and white outfits was over the top. We had tuxes, dresses, disco jumpsuits, B&W ties, B&W shoes, and so much more. The event was managed flawlessly by our Social Director, Debbie Welsh, and a committee who assisted her with all the critical activities needed to make the event a success.
The evening entertainment was just getting started with a very funny comedy act from our very own Rick Horst. This was then followed up by a dancing skit directed and choreographed by Lynne Carlyle, who spent countless hours arranging rehearsals and instruction for our featured performers: Dave Kersey, Karyn Swinford, Kathy Carver, Jill Lewis, Kelly Wood, Pat Ingalls, Mary McConaughey, Lee Ann Thompson, and Mike Harter. It was funny to watch the men keep their tights up during the dance routine.
During the event, our Secretary, Sheri Wallace, managed a successful 50/50 raffle that generated over $750 that three winners split.
The evening continued with lots of great dancing music with a wonderful DJ. There was disco, country, swing, line, slow, and crazy dancing all around.
