Our PCM9GA, founded in 2005, just celebrated our holiday season with a truly outstanding Holiday Luncheon Party conducted on Dec. 2 at the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. More than 135 members and guests enjoyed the truly festive event with exciting activities such as numerous raffle ticket winner gift baskets and $100 cash awards and a highly successful silent auction, which included a number of golfing accessories such as golf divot tools, golf bags, ball markers, and a number of unique collector items.
The festivity activities began at 11 a.m. with an open bar and the super promotional efforts of our three raffle ticket sellers, Gary Houser, Joe Duch, and Bob Salzmann, who sold many $20 or greater batches of tickets that contributed to a fundraising total of about $1,000 for a donation to the Luke AirForce base local MOAA (Luke AirForce Base Chapter of Military Officers of America Association).
Following the opening welcome introduction by our always flamboyant and enthusiastic PCM9GA President, Ray Clements, an excellent Italian style buffet lunch was served and everyone agreed that the pasta, meatballs, and chicken were delicious. Kudos to our PebbleCreek Catering Group which came through big time. Background music was provided by a live band, the “Swing Ship” headed by our own PCM9GA member, Joe Volstromer. Ray Clements and Gary Houser and a few others kept the high level of momentum by running the award presentations of the sizable raffle ticket winners and the silent auction displays in the back of the hall attracted numerous written bids on separate bid lists. Our Red Line Golf host had several new golf carts on display outside the Tuscany Ballroom entrance offering attractive discounts for purchase.
Seldom do the planets, moon, sun, and stars line up so well resulting in such an awesome event. Much credit is in order for all who made this event so great, which most notably includes Ray Clements for the unique silent auction items; Joanne Clements for arranging the awesome gift baskets; Cliff Crooks, John and Donna Craven, Gary Houser, Bob Salzmann, and Joe Duch for amazing raffle ticket sales results; and lastly but by no means least, our Red Line Sponsors, Greg and Theresa Doney, Kyle and Julie Johnson Doney, and our own Tim Munson and others who brought in Red Line Golf Carts as our event sponsor.
Our PCM9GA group closed our outstanding year 2024 events with our Holiday Tournament on Dec. 19. We look forward to another awesome event schedule for 2025.. As always, we highly encourage that interested new PCM9GA members contact our membership chairman, Jim Pisarski, at 949-485-0594 or Tim Munson at 503-460-7618.
