The PebbleCreek Ukulele Club welcomes back returning snowbird members this month. Our weekly jams have continued over the summer with a few but dedicated players. We look forward to jamming again with more folks in the coming months.
We are also happy to welcome newcomers and those who are curious about the little instrument whose name means “the jumping flea.” We welcome new seasoned players as well. Perhaps you have played in a ukulele group in the past, in another city or another state. If so, please check us out. We play many genres of music old and new using several online ukulele song websites. Bring a laptop, iPad, or tablet and we will show you how to access hundreds if not thousands of songs.
Curious potential players can come and try one of our instruments and we can give you a quick lesson to get you started. When there are a few newcomers, we put on a beginner class before the jam. A few of us also offer private lessons.
If you don’t want to play or learn but would just like to listen, we welcome you too. It is always a treat to play for an audience, even if it’s only two or three. It keeps us on our ukulele toes!
We are a fun, welcoming group and we look forward to seeing the returners and some new faces over the next few months.
We meet in the Palm Room at the Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse, every Thursday from 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. For more information call/text Ross Hart at 541-554-2679 or Gillian Driscoll at 303-548-2108.
