On Thursday, Nov. 7, the PebbleCreek Republican Club will celebrate our 14th annual Veterans Dinner at 6 p.m. in the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. This patriotic evening will honor club members and guest veterans who served to preserve our cherished American freedoms. This event takes the place of our regularly scheduled general meeting.

Dr. Connie Mariano
the evening, Dr. Connie Mariano. Serving as personal physician to Presidents George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, Dr. Mariano is the first Filipino American Physician to reach the rank of Rear Admiral of the Navy and second woman to become Director of the White House Medical Unit. She is a graduate of the Uniformed Services University of Medicine and is a board-certified specialist in internal medicine.
In 2001, Dr. Mariano retired from the Navy and joined the Mayo Clinic in Scottsdale. She later founded the Center for Executive Medicine in Scottsdale, a medical concierge practice providing presidential-quality medical care to CEOs and their families. She now lives in Scottsdale, Ariz., and has two monthly Podcasts: “Dr. Connie’s House Calls” and “The Widow’s Walk” on the Empowerment Channel of the Voice America network. In 2010, she authored “The White House Doctor: My Patients Were Presidents—A Memoir.”
The Republican Club is honored to have a person of her stature and insights speaking at such an important event.
