What a care manager can do for you

Rayma Scalzo

We are so pleased to have Jeannean M. Sabatina CMC, NCG, LF speak to our Alzheimer’s Caregiver Discussion Group on Saturday, August 15 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. She has been a certified Geriatric Care Manager for 15 years. Her company, With Love Jeannean LLC, serves as an advocate to seniors with physical and cognitive impairments. In her capacity as a licensed fiduciary, she serves as a medical and financial power of attorney and is court-appointed as a guardian/conservator of incapacitated adults, Jeannean has 24 years of experience in Independent, Assisted Living, Memory Care and Skilled Nursing. She will explain what a Care Manager can do for you during your healthcare journey. With her skills, knowledge and resources you should come away with some very valuable information.

We have another group, The Saturday Group, which provides respite care for those having Alzheimer’s disease. It meets at a nearby location. This group allows the caregiver the opportunity and peace of mind to attend the discussion group. It is run by two PebbleCreek volunteers who have experience with Alzheimer’s disease. They want to make this time away as comfortable and stress free as possible. If your loved one is unable to participate in such a group, they may be able to arrange for someone to come to your house during the two hour meeting. Please RSVP by August 12 for this special group.

Our discussion group provides information, resources and comfort for those residents who are caring for loved ones who have Alzheimer’s disease. It is open to all caregivers who are caring for a loved one in the home, at a local care facility or out of state. For more information and location of the meeting, please contact Rayma at 623-935-1819 or send email to [email protected]. This is a meeting you won’t want to miss!
