When planning a big trip, it is important to purchase travel insurance. If cruising, one can purchase the cruise line insurance (sometimes very expensive) or obtain insurance from a variety of travel insurance companies. In the past, I found Trawick to be reasonable. However, if you have a Chase Sapphire Preferred credit card, you are covered with travel insurance if you purchase the trip using the card. Other cards may also provide travel insurance. Another excellent travel card is the Capital One Venture card.
