PCMGA Introduces Officers for the 2024-25 Season

On March 21 at the Member-Member Tournament annual meeting, the PebbleCreek Men’s Golf Association (PCMGA) elected officers for the 2024-25 golfing season. They officially take office on June 1.

Introducing our leaders:

Kurt Eleam (President)Kurt spent his formative years in Portland, Ore. After graduation from the University of South Carolina, his 33-year career with the U.S. Government started with measuring gravity as a geophysicist for the Naval Oceanographic Office (many months at sea) all the way to cybersecurity. He traveled and lived throughout the world (Europe and Hawaii). Besides golf, his hobby is woodturning/lathe work. He and his wife of 33 years, Suzanne, moved to PebbleCreek in 2021. Serving as President, Kurt’s main responsibility is to preside at meetings and oversee the daily operation of the PCMGA.

Joey Grande (Vice President)Joey was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. He earned his B.A. in accounting and finance at Baruch College in NYC. He spent 42 years with Turner Construction Company, an international firm. He served as regional controller of the Northeast region as well as training director, traveling extensively. He and his wife, Erika, moved to the Phoenix area with Turner in 2006 first in Buckeye, then PebbleCreek a year later. He retired in 2022. Besides golf, his hobbies include astronomy, photography, and drawing. Serving as vice president, Joey’s main job is to chair the Member-Guest Tournament.

John Pannell (Secretary)John was born and raised in Holdenville, Okla., a town of 5,000. He attended the University of Maryland focusing on airfield management. He spent 29 years in the U.S. Air Force as an air traffic controller. He then spent 14 years at the FAA developing instrument procedures for take-off and landing for commercial and military aircraft. He was deeply involved in the B.P.O.E. (Benevolent & Protective Order of Elks) initially serving on the board of trustees, then as president for the State of Oklahoma. He also served on a national basis as Deputy Grand Exalted Ruler. He and his wife of 63 years, Glenda, moved to PebbleCreek in 2016. Serving as secretary, John’s main function is to keep the minutes of the PCMGA’s meetings and communicate the results of those meetings via the PCMGA website.

Kurt Fischer (Treasurer)Kurt was born and raised in Des Plaines, Ill. He earned his business degree in accounting at the University of Illinois. He started his career at Ernst & Young in the audit department, spending five years there with McDonald’s Corp as his main client. He then spent 28 years at McDonalds doing accounting, then in a financial systems role. His hobbies besides golf include softball, pickleball, and playing the stock market. He retired in 2020 and moved to PebbleCreek with his wife, Laura. As treasurer, Kurt’s key responsibilities include keeping membership records, issuing checks, and preparing monthly financial reports.
