JD and Zoe Carpenter celebrated their fiftieth anniversary on June 12 by spending a month in Coronado, California. Breathing the fresh air and watching the waves, ships and dolphins, it is their favorite place on earth.
JD and Zoe met in college. JD graduated from St. Ambrose University in Davenport, Iowa, while Zoe graduated from the Mercy School of Nursing which was affiliated with St. Ambrose. They married immediately after graduation in 1965.
JD and Zoe moved to PebbleCreek in February of 1999. Before retiring to Arizona, JD’s jobs in manufacturing took them all over the world. Prior to moving to PebbleCreek they lived in Africa, Brazil, Pennsylvania, New Hampshire, Kansas, Iowa, Illinois and Indiana. They loved meeting so many different people and taking in the experiences that each place had to offer.
Their entire immediate family now lives in Arizona and they feel truly blessed. Daughter, Cindy Carpenter Good and husband Steve, along with their children JJ, Emily and Spencer, live in Phoenix. Son Brad Carpenter and wife Karen, along with their children Mekeila, Lilli and Cindy, live in Chandler.
