Dr. Katie Croy, PebbleCreek Community Church Choir Director

PebbleCreek Community Church (PCCC) is excited to announce the position of choir director now belongs to a PebbleCreek resident, Katie Croy. She may be a familiar name and face to many as Katie has been active in Showtime Productions, Inc. Katie has performed in leading roles and acted as the vocal director in Beauty and the Beast and The Addams Family.
Dr. Katie Croy holds several master’s degrees (music, education) and a Ed.D. in higher education administration from her home state of Kansas. Professional opportunities took her on the road with a music performance group, teaching music grades K-12 and providing vocal and piano instruction. Dr. Croy has been Chair of Education at San Diego Christian College, Santee, Calif., and Coordinator of Masters of Teaching and Learning at Point Loma Nazarene University, San Diego, Calif. For 10 years, she served as a member of the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Married to Dan Croy for over 50 years, they have two children and five grandchildren who live in the Kansas City area. In addition to always being involved with church music; singing, playing piano, and choir direction, Dr. Croy enjoys participation and leadership in women’s ministries. During the application process for this position, Dr. Croy stated, “Since retiring we both are experiencing a ‘second calling’ from the Holy Spirit to reevaluate how we might serve Him better. My goal is to return to a more ministry-based life.”
