The Winter Wii Bowling Season was a huge success with a record high 204 Wii bowlers divided amongst 34 teams in the Twi-Lite and Evening Leagues. The Twi-Lite champions were team Desert Rollers, led by team captain Clyde Dowell, his wife Daisy, and teammates Dennis and Carol DeFrain and Al and JoAnn Larkin. The Evening League champions were team Alley Cats led by Kathy Smith along with her husband Virgil and teammates Jan and Robert Hover, Steve Johnson and Walt Hohlstein. This season 15 Wii’ers rolled perfect games of 300, with nearly half achieving that score on multiple occasions. None was better than Steve Johnson with seven perfect games. But team standings and high scores alone aren’t what makes Wii Bowling enjoyable. It is the camaraderie and good sportsmanship amongst all players that keeps Wii’ers coming back season after season.
Wii Bowling has been a popular event for the past five years and looks to have continued success into the future. Be a part of it and sign up now for the Summer Wii League. The fall season will return in September (with registration in August). Watch the Post for more details.
