Artist Series: Michael Finney, Comedic Magician—March 4

Artist Series performer change announced for March 4 show.

Due to a scheduling error with his team, Kevin Johnson, ventriloquist, is not able to perform March 4. He is expected to be in the line-up for next year’s series, but confirmation of that will occur when details are finalized. With that, sometimes one door closes and another opens as they say, and we are delighted to announce that the replacement show is the spectacular comedic magician, Michael Finney. Here is a little more about Michael who is a longtime resident here in Phoenix (since 1978): The term “GOAT” has become common to describe people who have achieved at the highest level in their field, and stands for Greatest of All Time. Michael Finney is the “GOAT” of his unique craft in Comedy Magic. In 1986, he was a finalist on the TV hit show Star Search with Ed McMahon, and in 1987 he received the Silver Lions Head award from Siegfried and Roy for comedy and magic. More TV appearances include World’s Greatest Magic, World’s Wildest Magic, and Masters of Illusion. Other accolades include 1993 Arizona Comedian of the Year, 2005 Comedy Magician of the Year, 2006 Parlor Magician of the Year from the Academy of Magical Arts, home of the Magic Castle. In 2008 he was voted by his peers as one of the Top Ten Comedy Magic Acts in the World. All with a notable invite to perform at the Inauguration for President Bush in 2001. Currently he’s the President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians. All tickets remain valid.
