Billiard Club play ceased in March with the closure of Tuscany Falls, but on Nov. 12, six players from PebbleCreek competed in an 8-ball rematch with a team at Vistancia. At PebbleCreek, players are accustomed to playing on 8-ft tables, so in the first match, which occurred just before the COVID shutdown, the PC players were somewhat intimidated by playing on Vistancia’s 9-foot, top-of-the-line Brunswick Gold Crown tables and lost the match. For this rematch, the PebbleCreek players rose to the occasion and won 17-10 (games) while observing COVID protocol. It was an enjoyable experience and a nice opportunity to interact with residents of another resort community. Hopefully, the pandemic will soon end so that the series of inter-community matches can return to normal.
