This is going to be a lot of fun! We will start this tournament off on Saturday, March 2 with a Calcutta in the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room. Festivities begin at 4 p.m. with a cash bar and hors d’oeuvres. Bidding on all 54 teams starts at 5 p.m. Use your time wisely to study the teams and plot your strategy. Cash and checks only—so plan accordingly.
On Sunday, March 3 check-in begins at 7 a.m. with a shotgun start at 8 a.m. for the 18-Hole Tournament. This year you will be playing Tuscany Falls (TF) West, and the format will be Irish Four-ball with a modified Stableford scoring, a format that levels the playing field and is known for its faster pace of play. The men will tee off from the white tees and the women will tee off from the red tees. Cash prizes will be given to the top three teams.
The 9-Hole Tournament check-in begins at 9 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. on the TF East back nine. The format will be a four-person Scramble, flighted by men, women, and mixed teams. The men will tee off from the white tees and the women will tee off from the red tees. One drive per person will be required. Cash prizes will be given to the winners of each flight.
Players will enjoy complimentary coffee and doughnuts while picking their raffle baskets and placing bids on the silent auction item. Once on the course you have a chance to win cash prizes for closest to the pin, closest to the centerline and, if the Golf Gods are with you, get a hole-in-one and walk away with a fabulous prize. There will be “beverage stations” on both courses to ensure everyone is well hydrated, and we are bringing back the “Tarts in a Cart” who will have complimentary water and snacks for your enjoyment.
The awards luncheon and cash bar will begin at 12:30 p.m. in the TF Ballroom. The raffle basket entries will be drawn and posted prior to the luncheon, so you can check on your way in to see if you were a lucky winner. Since this is an Irish themed tournament there will be cash prizes for the man, woman, and foursome that best represents the “Wearing of the Green.” May the luck of the Irish be with you!
