Carole Schumacher

The PebbleCreek Ladies Golf Association (PCLGA) celebrates our champions each year during our major Club Championship Tournament when we strive to recognize the best of our best. The three-day event was held on March 18 (Eagles Nest), 22 (Tuscany Falls East), and 25 (Tuscany Falls West) and culminated with a celebration at Tuscany Falls Clubhouse. The winners for 2024-25 are:

Overall Gross Champion: Liz Mitchell shot a 79, 78, and 76 in three respective rounds totaling 233 strokes to capture the crown and win the $100 purse and a beautiful trophy. This is Liz’s second consecutive year of being named Overall Gross Champion and improved her already stellar performance by 3 strokes over March 2024!

Overall Net Champion: Esther Frehner shot net 72, net 68, and net 67 in three respective rounds for a total of 207 points to win the $100 purse and the trophy as Net Champion!

Overall Gross Runner Up: Mary Harris scored a 75, 77, and 82 for 234 points, just one point short of Mitchell to win the $75 purse!

Overall Net Runner Up: Dava Esman shot net scores of 68, 78, and 65 to capture the Net Runner Up $75 purse!

Most Birdies Award: Ann Page scored 26 birdies during PCLGA play between March 16, 2024 and March 15, 2025. According to PCLGA record-keeper, Sharon Johnson, 154 members scored at least one birdie and 600 birdies were scored by the club. Four members scored more than 20 birdies! That’s a lot of birdie juice!

Sharon Temple received the Most Improved Player Award. Sharon had a starting GHIN Index of 24.6 on March 16, 2024, and improved her Index by March 15, 2025, to 15.4. Using a formula that the USGA uses to determine the most improved player, Sharon’s improvement factor was 1.336. Awesome achievement Sharon!
