With a Ho, Ho, Ho, a festive golf cart Christmas parade, full of holiday spirit and cheer, kicked-off celebrations of Christmas to end the year! It was a rainy Thursday afternoon, Dec. 10, but residents of Eagle’s Nest loaded their beautifully decorated golf carts and lined up to parade around Robson Circle before breaking out into groups to bring Christmas carols to members of the community. Led by Goodyear City Police squad cars, 47 golf carts went off to spread the cheer and spirit of the holiday throughout the community, and surely Santa was pleased, as the weather miraculously cleared up! Five different groups of carolers were off to sing Christmas carols to various residents selected by their neighbors due to illness or loss of a loved one. Each golf cart group was assigned various homes in different units. All carolers wore masks and practiced social distancing throughout the event.
We wish to express our appreciation and gratitude to the Goodyear City Police, PebbleCreek Patrol, PebbleCreek Facilities, PebbleCreek Activities, and all of the resident carolers who gave of their time, energy, effort, and singing voices. Since 2020 has been a challenging year in many ways, this event brought out the goodness and thoughtfulness of the season to be shared with and by all.
