The PebbleCreek Art Club’s annual fall show was another fantastic art event. Art Walk 2018 on Sunday, November 18 was attended by over 400 guests who enjoyed a glass of wine while they viewed 113 pieces of fine art and shared a delightful afternoon with the many artists and art lovers who live in PebbleCreek.

Everyone who attends the event is given the opportunity to cast a ballot for “People’s Choice” award. This year’s winner Curtis Patchin was presented with the coveted purple ribbon for his submission David at the November club meeting.

The judges, from outside the community, did an outstanding job of carefully reviewing each piece of art submitted and choosing ribbon winners in eight medium categories. Those artists receiving ribbons were Marsha Lisle, Judy Hale, Arden Johannesen, Charlene Romanos, Gerald Findley, Nancy Stifter, Rana Cukierski, Kathy Sork, Debbie Bolton, Diana Matney, Charles Peterman, Marion Carew, Duane Langston, Kathleen Janda, Ila Larson, Hilary Ficus, Sylvia Armstrong and Marianne Graff.

In a special challenge where artists were required to create pieces in only two colors, black and white, 26 artists presented an incredible collection of work. The winners in this competition were first prize, Gary Kotula; second prize, Kathy Sork; third place, Sylvia Armstrong and Honorable Mention, Marianne Graff. The judge’s choice for the best of show was awarded to Marsha Lisle for her piece Nature’s Beauty.

The many artists who live and work in PebbleCreek are proud to display the art they work so diligently to create and wish to extend thanks to the community for their encouragement and support.

The next club event is “Meet the Artist” on March 23 and 24. Look for information and details in the next PC Post and mark your calendars, you will not want to miss another PC Art Club exciting  competition.
