Jonnie Chandler
Captain Jeremy Alan Chandler, a U.S. Army Special Forces ODA-HALO Team Leader (Green Beret), was killed in action on Aug. 11, 2005, while serving his third deployment in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom). Jeremy’s parents, PebbleCreek residents LTC Alan Chandler, U.S. Army retired, and Jonnie Chandler, established a memorial scholarship in their son’s honor at his alma mater, the University of North Georgia (UNG).
Jeremy’s scholarship serves to ensure our future military leaders receive financial assistance to complete their education. To date, 16 scholarship recipients have commissioned and are currently serving in the U.S. Army.
Al and Jonnie invite you to join them for an evening of patriotic entertainment and fundraising in the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room Sunday, Nov. 13, from 5 to 9 p.m.
Proceeds raised benefit the Captain Jeremy Alan Chandler Leadership Scholarship at the University of North Georgia.
The scholarship endowment is held and managed by the UNG Foundation. UNG Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization. Monetary gifts to the Captain Jeremy Chandler Scholarship are deductible for tax purposes. Tax exempt donations are made payable to University of North Georgia Foundation, PO Box 1599, Dahlonega, GA 30533, marked “Jeremy Chandler Leadership Scholarship.”
Tickets are $50 per person and may be purchased from Al or Jonnie Chandler. Contact them at [email protected] or 912-713-4357.
