Jonnie Chandler
Captain Jeremy Alan Chandler, a U.S. Army Special Forces ODA-HALO Team Leader (Green Beret), was killed in action on Aug. 11, 2005, while serving his third deployment in Afghanistan (Operation Enduring Freedom). Jeremy’s parents, PebbleCreek residents Lieutenant Colonel Alan Chandler, U.S. Army retired, and Jonnie Chandler, established a memorial scholarship in their son’s honor at his alma mater, the University of North Georgia (UNG). To date, 12 scholarship recipients have commissioned and are currently serving in the U.S. Army.
Al and Jonnie invite you to join them for a charity beer and wine tasting and silent auction on Saturday, Nov. 13 at Augie’s Sports Grill, located at 15605 West Roosevelt Street, from 5 to 9 p.m.
One hundred percent of sales and funds raised benefit the Captain Jeremy Alan Chandler Leadership Scholarship at the University of North Georgia.
The scholarship endowment is held and managed by the UNG Foundation. The UNG Foundation is a 501(c)(3) organization.
