105 Year Old Paul White Celebrates the 76th Anniversary of the Dunkirk Evacuation
Lieutenant Paul White was an officer in the British Expeditionary Force that was evacuated from the beaches of Dunkirk between May 26 and June 4, 1940. In recognition of his WWII service and survival at Dunkirk, Paul has been made an honorary member of the Luke Chapter of the Military Officers Association of America. Over 338,226 military personnel were evacuated on over 800 small craft and 39 British destroyers. Paul was on one of the six destroyers that were sunk by German aircraft. He spent 12 hours on a raft before being rescued. Paul lives in PebbleCreek, Goodyear, Arizona.
