At a recent board meeting, the PebbleCreek Wine Club recognized Thomas “Tom” Bailey for his outstanding service as the former president. COVID-19 had prevented the board from presenting a gift to Tom during the April 2020 wine club dinner. The belated recognition for Tom’s service was a magnum of 2008 Coach Insignia Cabernet Sauvignon.

Tom has supported the wine club for many years. As vice president for two years, Tom served with former club president Dave Eckert in organizing and supporting the club’s monthly dinners and special events. As president of the wine club for three years, Tom elevated the wine club experience through the selection of quality wines and food pairings at the monthly dinners.

During his time as president, Tom organized and led numerous wine tours to Napa Valley and several wine club river cruises in Europe. His keen interest in wines, and desire to promote the image of the wine club, supported growth to over 600 members.

Tom’s greatest contribution as club president was the annual fundraising for Kare Bears. With imaginative help from his wife Betty, Tom led the wine club in the annual December Gala, which in 2018 and 2019 raised $10,000 for Kare Bears.
