Tennis Club prepares for exciting fall

“Success is a journey, not a destination. The doing is usually more important than the outcome.” Arthur Ashe

The tennis club members endured the heat and enjoyed our early morning July mixer. Tequila Sunrise was a treat with a tasty breakfast and social tennis. Two ladies even came to show off their new knees and enjoy the breakfast. Many thanks to Jill and Jerry Santy who planned and hosted the mixer.

Our club has big plans for a fun fall lineup of drop-ins, round robins, ladders, lessons and drills. We also have plans for more mixers with casual potlucks after the games and tennis under the lights. These opportunities to play and learn tennis will be in the afternoons on the Tuscany courts as soon as the weather cools off a bit. Be sure to check out our website or drop by the Tuscany Tennis hut for information. With all the new and easy opportunities to play and improve your tennis game we hope to bring in new members and more players.

Now is the time to consider volunteering to the tennis club by serving on the board. We have seven spots and with two terms ending in December; we will need two more members for the 2018 board. Talk with any board member if you have a talent to lend or interest to serve. It’s fun and new members always bring new ideas.

As always, check www.pebblecreektennis.org for updates, minutes, facility reports, maintenance work in progress, treasurer’s reports and an archive of beautiful and entertaining photos. Now get outside and hit some winners! Balls, not people!
