Monsoon and triple digits are behind us and snow has already fallen at Snowbowl; hopefully this is a good sign for the approaching ski season. So, time to dust off and tune up your skis! PebbleCreek doesn’t have a ski club but many PC skiers belong to Valley of the Sun Ski Club (VSSC) which is open to all skiers and is just a short drive on Loop 303 to the Sun City West Foundation, SW corner of Stardust and RH Johnson Blvd. Meetings are held on the first Thursday of the month and the next meeting is December 6. VSSC provides a great opportunity to ski and socialize with other active adults with similar interests and offers reasonably priced trips to some of the best ski areas in the West; for the 2018-2019 season, great trips are planned for Aspen/Snowmass, Telluride and Sun Valley, and a few openings are still available.
