Silk flower design class

Jeff Wilson

On Sept. 7, five ladies showed up at the Creative Arts Center ready to learn the art of flower design with instructor, Kim Corbel. Two of the ladies had recently attended Kim’s fresh flower floral class, one had been to her silk class, and two were brand new.

This class met the needs of all who attended. The ladies brought their own flowers and containers so they could create arrangements that would match the decor in their homes. Each design and color choice were unique to the individual designer. There was such a warm and inviting feeling in this room as the designers’ creations came to life. The ladies returned the following Saturday to try their hand at making a wreath for their door. It came as no surprise that they were beautiful!

The Pottery/Sculpture Club sponsors a variety of creative and inspiring classes throughout the year. Watch for announcements on the egroup and come to the Expressions Gallery in the Creative Arts Center to keep up with what’s being offered.
