The PebbleCreek Salute to Veterans will take place at the Renaissance Theater on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. This program will include the Luke Air Force Base Color Guard’s Presentation of the Colors, Pledge of Allegiance, guest speaker Major Benjamin E. Carlson, USAF service songs, God Bless the USA, a presentation of patriotic quilts by PC Quilters and recognition of Sandra Hand and her special veterans’ slide show. It will also feature singers Carol Palmer, Nancy Davis and Kathy Mitchell. Tickets are $5 cash only, donation to a veteran-themed charitable organization(s). They are on sale at the Activities Office.
Please plan to stop by one of the Clubhouses, or if you are a Cox subscriber tune to channel 1960 to view the patriotic slide show organized by Sandra Hand with the assistance of her husband David. She began this project nearly two years ago, collecting photos from PebbleCreek veterans and their loved ones. She put her heart into hundreds of hours of work to honor these great men and women who served our country. The show will run in a continuous loop beginning at midnight on November 11, for 24 hours. The slideshow will also be running as you enter the Theater before the November 11 program at 2:00 p.m., and we encourage everyone to stay and view the full show at the conclusion of the program.
