Memory Matters
The annual charity tournament was held on January 17 at the Tuscany Falls Golf Course. The tournament was planned by Kathy Dolan and Mary Lacy. This year’s theme was Memory Matters which supports Alzheimer’s Research. Members donated to Alzheimer’s Association Desert Southwest in honor of a loved one or friend. A recognition board was displayed at the registration table. The format for golf was a step-aside scramble and members of the Millennium High School girl’s golf team were invited to participate with the Lady Niners.
AWGA Medallion Tournament
The AWGA held its Medallion Tournament in PebbleCreek on January 14 and 15. Six Lady Niners participated in this event. Low gross champions were Bonnie Bruce, Char Morrow and Cheryl Brodbeck. Low net champions were Lorene Greer, Judy Myers and Barbara Purpura.
Hello Hollywood
On February 7 the Lady Niners will hold their annual Invitational Golf Tournament at Tuscany Falls. This event, planned by co-chairs Kathy Doerwald and Connie Peterson, will be a two-best-ball, four lady team format. Lady golfers from other groups from around the state will be in PebbleCreek to participate. Included will be lunch before and dessert after golf, raffle prizes and skills contests.
