The Lady Niners enjoyed a festive lunch on December 7 at the Tuscany Falls Ballroom. The theme of the Holiday Luncheon was Teddy Bear Magic. Teddy Bears were collected for the Southwest Family Advocacy Center and were on display during the luncheon. Also present were adorable therapy dogs Finnley and Cooper who work at the Southwest Family Advocacy Center. Carol Horan, a volunteer at the center, gave a briefing of the Advocacy Center’s purpose and how it provides services to our community. The bears will be given to the many children who are referred to the Center for assistance and counseling after experiencing a difficult and often traumatic even in their lives.
Enjoyable entertainment for the luncheon was provided by the Gene Howard Acoustic Duo. Social chairpersons Betty Thompson and Kayleen Herrema did a fantastic job planning the event.
