PebbleCreek Democrats Elect 2020 Club Officers

The January 2020 election results for the PebbleCreek Democratic Club brought in both new and re-elected members of the board.

John Moore, a retired print journalist and editor of the Ventura County Star (Ventura, Calif.), was elected president of the club. Chuck Veltri, the former owner of Veltri-Iker and Associates, a sales and marketing company, was re-elected vice president; Gary Halperin, retired CPA and CFO in the office products industry, will serve as treasurer; Alisa Sparkia Moore, retired attorney, as secretary, and Shari Wolkov Baer, a retired geriatric social worker with the Area Agency on Aging who specialized in health and wellness programs, was re-elected as member-at-large to the board.

President Moore received the gavel from Robert Conley who served as club president for the past two years and as vice president for the two years before that. On behalf of the club, Mr. Moore, who was the club’s treasurer in 2019, thanked the other two outgoing officers, Mr. Conley and Judy Hart who served as secretary for several years.

Mr. Moore said, “We are looking forward to an exciting, busy year with the Pebble Creek Democratic Club. The club will provide its more than 300 members a full year of great social activities as well as regular speakers related to the upcoming elections, and information for club members on how to participate in local political activities. Our meetings are always open and anyone in PebbleCreek is warmly welcome.”
