With the twenty-third season of the PebbleCreek Senior Softball Association now in the books, it was time for the players to let loose and enjoy each other’s company at the annual year-end banquet.
Three hundred plus banquet attendees enjoyed appetizers, adult beverages and good food as stories and fables were told. The all familiar battle cry “wait till next year” was also heard.
Board President, Manny Maciel, recognized the league champions (Anasazi Pools) and the tournament champions (Spooner Physical Therapy). Also recognized were the following individuals:
President’s Award: Presented to Jane Petersen for her service and support of this league.
Sportsmanship Award: Presented posthumously to Betty Hogan in memory of her husband Jack Hogan.
Fifteen Year Player Award: Presented to seven new inductees into this fraternity that continues to grow year after year.
Twenty Year Player Award: Presented to Dick Blomberg. Dick becomes the second twenty-year member joining Bobby Quarantino.
This league is what it is today because of the players, managers and supporters.
