The Golfing Niners played a Scramble on July 30, on Tuscany Falls-West, in the whipping winds and hot desert sun. The weather conditions made for some challenging team scores, with birdies at a premium. The following teams conquered the course conditions and finished as follows:
1st Place-2 under par-Scott Beseda; Steve Shaver; Jack Tulaba; Joe Ambruster-$20 each
2nd Place-2 under par-Brad Heiden, Doyle Blaylock, Greg Ray, Charley Wiley-$15 each
3rd Place-2 under par-Fred Schmidt, Russ Georgesen, Bob Vine, Skip Gault-$12 each
4th Place-1 under par-Joe Oliver, Greg McKenzie, Bruce Hulbert, Hank Franzone-$10 each
