The Spirited Lads performing at Irish American Club Pub Luncheon

If you have ever visited Ireland, you know that a cloudy, rainy day is typical weather. So Mother Nature graciously complied and contributed to the ambiance of the day by sending us a typical Irish Sunday morn—cloudy and rainy—for our pub luncheon on April 10. Saddle Mountain Brewing Co. in Goodyear was the pub selected for this year’s PebbleCreek Irish American Club’s annual Pub Luncheon. Approximately 80 club members and guests were in attendance. The chef selected a menu that was about as Irish as you could get in Arizona: fish n’ chips, bangers and mash, Reuben sandwich, corned beef and cabbage and an Irish salad. Of course, liquid refreshments were also on/in hand! I’m told everyone enjoyed their meal immensely; almost like being back in old Dublin herself—. In addition we were excited and thrilled to have the talented Spirited Lads perform for us. The Lads are a group of four guys that soon have you clapping, toe-tapping and singing along to their lively Irish tunes. Their music runs the gambit from feel good to sad songs, to rollicking drinking songs, to old Irish ballads. It’s so much fun to listen to them.

So remember to note the second Sunday in April on your calendars for Pub Luncheon 2017.
