Just as the snowbirds return (some of our members too) things get busy for the PebbleCreek Model Railroad Club. On October 23 and 24 the club will host eight model railroad operations enthusiasts from around the country each day. About 40 modelers will be in the Valley attending DesertOps, an invitational meet featuring PCMRC and six other layouts in the Phoenix area. If you’ve read our previous Post articles, you know that we frequently operate our railroad realistically ourselves with eight persons running trains simultaneously. But now we look forward to sharing the experience with a number of visitors, many of whom attend such meets across the country.

Then on Saturday, October 25 the club will be exhibiting at the Creative Arts Festival to be held in the Tuscany parking lot outside the Creative Arts Center. We will set up our new O-scale tabletop sectional layout for your enjoyment. Please come and see us in action. As always, you are welcome to visit our layout in Room 106 at the Eagle’s Nest Activity Center Tuesday or Thursday mornings or online at www.pcmrc.org.
