“You must’ve been a beautiful baby ‘cause baby look at you now!” That’s what approximately 80 people experienced on February 24. Encores Big Band, an 18-piece ensemble led by Musical Director John Withart, was entertaining as they played throughout the evening.

Guests brought baby photos of themselves that were creatively displayed in the room. That night votes were cast based on the photos. There were twelve different categories. They included: The baby most likely to win the Gold Medal in the Olympics and the person most likely to win the Nobel Peace Prize. It was a joyous evening and a great deal of fun guessing who actually belonged to that baby picture so many years ago.

Many thanks to the following people in planning such a great event: Joan Grube (Chairperson), Phyllis Stein (who created those magnificent centerpieces), Judy Ruck, Roberta Penchina and Shari Baer, Carl Schatz, Andrea Hodes, Marsha Taplin, Joan Wendroff, Martha Bergman and Allen Levine (photographer).

Mark your calendars! Our traditional Passover Seder will be celebrated on the second night of the holiday, Saturday, March 31. More information will follow.

Finally, we’d like to welcome Ricki Isador to the board as the Jewish Events and Program Chair. We look forward to the many activities that she has planned for the next few years.
