Men’s Christian Fellowship update

Larry Gleason

On January 7, the Fellowship did an outreach project serving noon meals to the needy at the Phoenix Rescue Mission. Approximately 170 meals were served to men, women and a few families with children. During a tour the fellowship learned the Mission is a Christ-based nonprofit organization that provides meals 365 days per year for those in need. They also have a 148 bed emergency shelter. In addition the Mission offers faith-based recovery programs lasting 12 to 18 months for men, and a similar transformational program for mothers with children. The Fellowship members were touched by the gratitude of those who were served. Fellowship attendees included: Ron Smith, Al Crosson, Jack Tanner, Lee Ayers, Ted McGovern, Jim Beyers, Jeff Fischer, J.D. Brown, David Murphy, Tom Schull, Doug McFarland, Merrill Peterson, Bob Carlson, Lee Price, Jim Leonard, Ron Glynn, Jim Jarvis and Dave Ericson. The Mission’s Partner Relations Officer, Mark Tullis, can be contacted by any individuals or groups who wish to help the Mission in any way.

On Wednesday, February 4, the Fellowship is delighted to have Lee Ayers share his personal testimony The Holy Trinity and Me. The meeting will be held at 7:30 a.m. in the Tuscany Falls Chianti Room. Coffee and rolls will be available at 7:00 a.m. at the Tuscany Falls Coffee Bar next to the Chianti Room. All PebbleCreek men are invited to attend.
