HOA Website Ways: Is it a rule, policy or guideline?

Priscilla Wardlow

Looking for the definitive word on flags, decorations or window coverings? It’s hard to remember whether these topics are covered in the HOA Rules, the ALC Guidelines, the HOA Board Policies or even the CCRs (Conditions, Covenants and Restrictions). Happily the HOA website, pebblecreekhoa.org, can come to your rescue.

On the website under Governance, clicking on HOA Documents will take you to a list of links that will get you to the official, signed and sealed versions of each of the documents that set out the governance of PebbleCreek. These versions, while they can be searched within each document using a “find” command, don’t help you if you don’t know which document contains the answer you seek.

If you don’t know which document governs your area of interest, just go to the Search box on either the Home page or on the Navigation Bar at the top of each page and enter the minimum number of words to describe your search. For instance, enter holiday decorations and click Search or the small magnifying glass.

That search will bring you to a list of several items, including HOA Rules, Section 8. Clicking on that item will take you to the section of the HOA Rules where holiday decorations are discussed. It’s that easy!

You’ll achieve best results by searching for a single, unique word or a short phase. Searching for long phrases lowers your chances for results, since the exact text you enter must exist as-is in order for a match to be found. If you search for something you can’t find, please send us an email at [email protected] and we’ll be happy to help you and improve the search process.
