The September handmade pottery class not only made some incredibly beautiful sculptural, functional, and decorative objects, but they also had fun!
The focus of the class is to provide a supportive environment in which to learn the tools and techniques necessary to make any handmade pottery project.
Beginners in the class usually make a platter, a luminaria, and a sculptural vase, all with embossed designs and appliqued embellishments. Those with some clay experience have made sculptural birdhouses, Egyptian-style masks, jewelry, and much more.
The Pottery/Sculpture Club sponsors several types of creative classes throughout the year. Stop by the display cases outside the pottery room to see examples of projects made by club members.
