Employee of the Month

The HOA Board of Directors recently recognized Colleen Frohne as Employee of the Month. Below is the submission her boss, John Singleton, Director of Community Services used to describe why she should be considered for this recognition.

Colleen works in the Community Service Department of PebbleCreek. Chances are everyone in PebbleCreek has talked to Colleen at one time or another. From 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., every Monday through Thursday she is in the patrol office at Eagle’s Nest Clubhouse answering every phone call placed to the patrol for both Tuscany Falls and Eagle’s Nest gates. She gets anywhere from 60-80 calls every day.

Her duties include logging in homeowners’ guests, dispatching the patrol members on duty on all calls and she will even help you learn how to log into Gate Access (our guest notification system) or the PebbleCreek website. If she doesn’t have the answer she will tell you who does or even make the call for you. Sometimes she may have two or three calls going at once. This can get a little hectic at times but she always answers the phone, “Hi, this is Colleen, how can I help you?” with a smile.

She is the cool, calm voice in times of emergencies or welfare situations. One day recently she got a call from a worried daughter who couldn’t get in touch with her parent, who lives alone. The daughter lives out of state and didn’t have any contacts here to check on her loved one. Colleen dispatched a patrol member to do a welfare check. After the patrol officer knocked on the door and got no response Colleen directed him to check windows and see if there were signs of anyone being home; there wasn’t. Next step, check the garage window and see if there was a car there and there was. After checking for newspapers and the mailbox, which was full, she advised the daughter to call the Goodyear police. When they gained entrance into the house the homeowner was on the floor where he had been for some time. Luckily, he was taken to the hospital and survived but may not have if Colleen had not gone the extra mile to check out things more thoroughly.

She has worked in patrol, in the guardhouses and now in the office for over five years. It’s this type of caring for our community and the people here that makes Colleen a great asset to our community and a worthy award such as employee of the month.
