On September 8, 2016 thirteen PCLGA members either played in a field of 68 golfers or assisted at the CAGD Tournament at Talking Stick Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona. The PCLGA partnered teams participating in the tournament were Ellen Enright and Marilyn Reynolds, Mary Falso and Monica Lee, Tess Braden and Pat DeMatties, Arlene Engelbert and Linda Thompson, Jane Hee and Carolyn Suttles, Sue Harrison and Kearin Kasper (not currently a PCLGA member) and Carol Sanders and Ada Davison (also not a PCLGA member). Barbara Green worked as a volunteer assisting the tournament. What great participation from the PCLGA!

After morning rolls and coffee, the golfers participated in the following format: One better ball of the two-some, flighted. A luncheon followed the tournament and prize money was awarded for Low Gross and Low Net in three flights. Congratulations to the following winners: Jane Hee and Carolyn Suttles won 1st Low Gross in Flight 3; Sue Harrison and Kearin Kasper won 1st Low Net in Flight 3 and Monica Lee won closest to the pin in Flight 1. Well done!

The Central Arizona Golf District, within which the PCLGA falls, offers several golf tournaments annually at various golf courses around the valley. For a small fee, PCLGA members are able to join the CAGD and take advantage of playing these courses and meeting people from all over the area. The PCLGA has been and continues to be well represented in this organization with Sue Harrison currently serving as CAGD Past President, Donnie Meyers as CAGD Membership Chair, Ann Page as Vice President of the CAGD and Jane Hee as the PCLGA Representative. Carolyn Suttles has also been a past president and Marilyn Reynolds has served as Rules Chair. Thank you, ladies, for your service.
