Yin Yoga

Ann Merrill

Could your muscles use a good stretch? Are you unsure how to proceed? No worries, Yin Yoga to the rescue! Yin requires no warm up because Yin Yoga targets the deeper connective tissues of the body. The exercise requirements of deep connective tissue are three to five minute static stretches seated, lying on your back, side or stomach on the mat with no warm-up. No pesky balance postures in Yin, but your balance postures will improve with continued Yin practice! The deeper connective tissues are actually 50% responsible for that nagging feeling of tightness. Muscles are only 40% responsible. Come join us for a comforting stretch on Tuesday and Thursdays at 9:00 a.m. at the beautiful Tuscany Fitness Studios.
