Members of the PebbleCreek Democratic Club took part in the second annual Women’s March to the Polls, January 21, in downtown Phoenix. More than 20,000 women, men, and children attended. There were creative, colorful signs everywhere, addressing a wide range of current political and social issues. Numerous speakers, entertainment including a rhythmic drum circle, and food trucks were all a part of this huge gathering, held on a beautiful day.
The January march was designed to encourage voter registration. The follow-up Day of Action took place on February 10. Anyone who wishes to help with these continuing efforts, please contact Roberta at [email protected].
