Wisconsin State Party

Pat Jensen

The Wisconsin State Party holds the record in PebbleCreek for having the most consecutive parties (25+). I couldn’t imagine breaking that tradition. Given that large gatherings were not allowed, I had to get creative. Culver’s has been a big part of our celebrations in the past, donating their custard, cheese curds, and raffle prizes.

This year, Greg Landon, owner of the Culver’s on Estrella as well as the ones in Avondale and Buckeye, agreed to let us use his restaurant as a meeting place. We decorated with Packer and Badger decorations.

Seventy loyal Wisconsinites came to the restaurant between 2 and 5 p.m. the last Sunday in February. They enjoyed delicious food and a free custard for dessert, but mostly they enjoyed socializing with one another. Most of these people had not seen each other since the 2020 party. Newcomers were happy to meet some of their new neighbors.

Most of the attendees had already received both vaccinations, but masks were still worn. All agreed that it was a great idea to have a gathering, and they look forward to a bigger and better celebration in 2022.

Please save the date of Feb. 27, 2022, when I hope we will all be partying in the Tuscany Ballroom again.
