Unit Happenings

Unit 20

Carolyn Rota

Our Unit’s Ladies Luncheon for September was hosted by Lynn Johnson and Norma Klinger and was held at Dillon’s Restaurant by the Wild Life Zoo. Thirteen ladies enjoyed not only the food but the wonderful ambiance, too. On behalf of the ladies who attended, thank you both Lynn and Norma for the lovely gifts and for all your hard work. Remember to check your email for upcoming events. Until our October luncheon…stay well and travel safe.

Unit 39

Unit 39 enjoys their monthly, second Friday, Neighborhood Happy Hour.

Unit 51

Janet Miazga

Unit 51’s first luncheon of the fall season brought eight gals together; so many were still traveling or hadn’t returned to PebbleCreek yet. They enjoyed catching up and sharing their summer stories at Black Angus Steakhouse on McDowell Road. Our newest resident to the unit, Pat Jensen, was welcomed by all and shown what a fun and friendly neighborhood we have! Looking forward to the return of our monthly ladies’ luncheons.

Unit 52

Liz Gibson

The Unit 52 Ladies who Lunch enjoyed a wonderful luncheon and chat fest at Eagle’s Nest Wednesday, September 12. We were delighted to have some of our new residents in attendance; there are over 12 families in the last several months. All of the lots in the unit have been sold and most of the homes are completed or near completion.

We are looking forward to a number of upcoming events in October, November and December, with details to follow.

Unit 53

Sandy Stephens

Mary Faye Manley hosted a wine and cheese get together for the Unit 53 gals August 15 in her beautifully decorated home. Everyone was greeted at the door by Einstein the friendly resident Chihuahua. Ken Manley in black slacks and crisp white shirt was our sommelier at the gathering. The gals of Unit 63 are a close-knit group of friends who enjoy any get together.

Unit 54

Barbara Dunson

Unit 54 held their Ladies Luncheon on August 31 at Red’s Bar and Grill, Litchfield, in their private room for 12 (maximum). Food at Red’s never disappoints and some of the ladies had never been so their burgers and salads and sliders were all a hit! Julie Kemper, Patty Klepinger, Cindy Hurst, Cindy Strong, Donna May, Nancy Popenhagen, Beth Kelly, Karen Rubsam, Gloria Rathman, Pat Biancardi, Michaele Olesen and Barb Dunson were all in attendance.

Unit 61

Adrianne Beck

Unit 61’s monthly Ladies Luncheon in August was well attended by over 30 neighbors. Leslie Lamiell organized the event at Urban Tempo Bistro on Verrado’s Main Street. It was the perfect venue for everyone to catch up with her neighbors.

Unit 62a

Barb Downey

August was another month of fun filled activities for the 62A Sheridan Team! The month started with a visit to Our Creative Escape, where 12 of our neighbors attended a “paint and sip” class that showcased their artistic abilities! We were all impressed with their great results; even those who had never painted previously did a fabulous job! This was a new event for our group and one that is sure to be repeated.

Our ladies played spirited hand and foot games several times this month, with post-game visits to Toscana’s bar and grill to continue socializing. For more fun times and great conversations, we visited the Vogue Bistro in Surprise for our monthly ladies’ luncheon and enjoyed our selections from their delicious menu. The men also had a wonderful turnout, as usual, at their monthly breakfast. This month it was held at the Haymaker and all enjoyed the comradery as well as the fabulous breakfast!

We had two planned pool events in the month of August. Our neighborhood Pool Social was held at the Tuscany Falls pool and our Appetizer/Happy Hour pool party was held at the Oasis Pool. We all brought appetizers or desserts to share and enjoyed the wonderful ramada to stay cool when not in the pool.

Fourteen residents of 62A participated in the second annual Staycation! This year we went to the Arizona Biltmore and enjoyed golfing, the spa, shopping, pool time, card games and lots and lots of eating! Such a fun time with fabulous neighbors! Can’t wait to see where the social committee sends us next year!

August was the inaugural month of our neighborhood Game Night where 23 people were divided into two groups, with each group at a different home. At one home the game Five Second Rule was played and at the second home, we played Catch Phrase. Halfway through the night the groups switched houses to try their skill with the alternate game. Of course, we all brought snacks to enjoy during the evening activities, amid many moments of hysterical laughter!

We closed the month with a group outing, with 28 of us, to watch the movie, Crazy Rich Asians and have dinner at Papa Paul’s Brick Oven Pizza & Pasta! Such a laughter filled evening with dear friends and neighbors!

All the lots and the spec home in our unit have now been sold. We’re looking forward to meeting all our new neighbors and adding them to the fun activities in this most active neighborhood! (As well as looking forward to a construction free street!)
